Welcome to
Today we stand at crossroads in the world in almost every aspect of our lives.
The momentous and huge task of bringing our planet back into balance is the best and most positive action we can contribute right now toward our home. For doing this, we need to look within and find that balance within in order to evolve in harmony with our planet. For millennia Yoga has proved itself to be a great tool for doing just that.

About Yoga Sadhana...
The spirit of Yoga Sadhana has evolved over the past 13 years from the first yoga class I taught (on the rooftop of the building where I lived in Colombo, Sri Lanka). With experience, interactions, curiosity, and reading about Vedanta philosophy, my path and direction gradually emerged. Over the years, in addition to teaching yoga classes, I became especially involved with women's well-being and health issues. This developed into a holistic approach to Yoga. Combining Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda, Meditation and Vedic philosophy with Yoga therapy is the core of my work.
I understand and value the importance of an individual approach to develop a yoga practice and lifestyle that helps keep one in a state of good health and well being. Therefore much of what I offer is through one-to-one, personalized sessions. But I also provide group yoga classes especially for beginners, hormone yoga therapy and pre-/post natal yoga. Special workshops to raise awareness on specific health issues and related subjects are offered from time to time. Furthermore, specially designed courses and workshops can be arranged for companies.

My Journey...
Growing up in India, I have always been curious and fascinated with Sadhus and Yogis. I always wanted to know who they are and why they lived the way they did.
During my University years, I deeply enjoyed trekking and wandering about in the valleys and mountains of the Himalayas. Some of these adventures brought me to unforgettable and profound encounters with yogis. Inspired, I started reading about and practicing Yoga secretly in my room late in the nights. It was quite a discovery even though I did not understand much (without the help of a teacher), yet I remember noticing subtle physical and emotional changes. But at the time, I was not ready. After this first experience of Yoga practice, several years passed before I practiced again. I almost forgot about it.

In 2007, a combination of my personal circumstances and a deep feeling of unrest brought me back to the mountains. This time I was looking for a teacher. I finally found my Guruji's grace in the various amazing teachers I met through the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta organization. Though it felt like I had reached my destination then, it could not have been further from the truth. For the journey had just begun. It has been both, a difficult and amazing experience of self-discovery, healing, surrender and transformation in the inner as well as outer aspects of life.

It is my sincere wish to bring this inspiration and joy I experience from practicing Yoga, out in the World and share it with others who are open to it. I offer my gratitude to all those who have been a part my journey and to this beautiful magical Universe for guiding me to this path.
“Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us and inviting us into this amazing world of yoga.”
