Trauma-SensitiveYoga

Travel light, live light, spread the light, be the light."

                                 - Yogi Bhajan

Acknowledging that Yoga cannot replace first line treatment  for Trauma and its related disorders, it has been proven that practice of Yoga is especially beneficial for people Suffering from Trauma or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as  other related symptoms. Trauma is an unhealed condition of human suffering that plays out its debilitating course in the body in different forms. Over the course of thousands of years, Yogis have deeply studied the state of human mind and body  and through intense practice, learnt to reach in and systematically re-establish the feelings of well-being.

This therapy starts the first session with a one to one talk lasting 60-90 mins. In this session we will discuss the history and depth of the trauma. Following this, an individual practice will be designed, combining classical yoga techniques with meditation targeting the field of Trauma. These exercises will be taught gently and along the guidelines suggested by experts in the field.
